Cable tie with stainless steel metal tongue
Cable ties with a metal tongue, or steel tongue / steel nose, are available from us in two different versions: with a single stainless steel tongue or with double stainless steel tongues. These cable ties are used, for example, where vibrations or shocks can occur. Cable ties with double stainless steel tongues benefit from significantly increased tensile strength thanks to the 2-lock system.

Advantages of cable ties with steel tongue
The steel-tongued cable ties differ from conventional all-plastic cable ties in a number of key ways and offer particular advantages:
- Better resistance to vibrations:
The steel nose holds the teeth of the cable tie more securely, even in the event of vibrations or shocks. This makes them ideal for mechanical engineering, vehicle technology or other environments with strong movements. - Higher holding force and load-bearing capacity:
The steel nose / metal tongue in the locking mechanism allows these cable ties to offer significantly higher tensile strength and holding force. They are particularly suitable for applications where heavy loads occur, such as in industry or with heavy cable bundles. - Longer service life due to greater security against loosening:
Conventional cable ties have a tendency for the locking mechanism to lose security over time due to material wear. The steel nose prevents this wear and remains reliable even under intensive use and long-term stress. This ensures a permanent locking mechanism, which significantly increases both the security and the service life of the cable tie.
